ABOUT OROBOROS

The purpose of OROBOROS is to be of service to the benefit of All Beings Everywhere. It was born to host and embody my efforts of communion with the sacred and facilitating this communion in others.

The means of this aim is to make available tools and services for exploration of the Yi Jing and similar arts. Funds raised through this project are donated to the non-profit organization Xicoco Shamanic Arts.

ABOUT XICOCO

Xicoco Shamanic Arts is an esoteric school with which I have found great affinity. Schools of

this nature are where an individual may undergo a process of unveiling the center-most point within themselves, make it the active center of their being, and recreate this process in the work and art of their life. At Xicoco this process is exercised through the Toltec lineage, Thelemic magick,

Chanku Luta and the Ashtanga, Bhakti and Karma bodies of Yoga.

Yi Jing is the yearning of my heart, and what I produce here is in homage and gratitude

to the Xicoco community, Koyote The Blind and the lineages which he brings.

ABOUT ME

Throughout childhood, I had a fascination with the Yi long before

and after becoming consciously aware of what the Yi is.

Into adolescence I felt both a deep dissatisfaction with the life options presented to me and

conviction that there exists a mystery and beauty unacknowledged by convention,

which I spent the time and resources of my latter teenage years pursuing.

It was then that I found my teacher Koyote and through my work with him contacted the

inner teacher; that within the self which precedes the personality and psyche,

and brings life to all it touches in ways that knowledge cannot.

The coin method for consulting the Yi Jing is more convenient than the traditional yarrow stick method, but lacks the depth of engagement. Aleister Crowley developed a stick method which restored dept to the process while maintaining the convenience. His method also allowed for a more precise reading, yet sharply narrowed the range of what the Yi Jing could reveal. The Yi Jing sticks offered through OROBOROS retain the benefits of Crowley's method without narrowing the possible readings.

Each stick is handcrafted oak, corresponding Qabbalistically to Geburahthe place of receiving the highest internal understanding.

Each purchase includes a carrying pouch and use instructions.

The Yi Jing is a tool for gaining insight into any situation. More so, it is a language for conversing with the deepest level of self.

Bilingual speakers can attest that every language is attuned to different qualities of experience, and open us to experiencing those qualities. Mathematics and physics are languages to understand and map reality. Qabbalah

is a language for understanding a different quality of reality and shaping oneself in relation to it. The Yi Jing is a language in these ways, comprised of the intrinsic components of all phenomena and the underlying structure within all forms of change.

Qabbalistically we can see the Yi as the forces of the Neshamah, Chiah and Yeshirah—the upper triad of the

Tree of Life—and the mechanics of how those forces become all internal and external phenomena. These forces are the deepest, innermost soul or essence. As such, the Yi is a tool for exploring this quality in all things as well as consulting upon and engaging this aspect within the self.

Developing fluency of any language imprints its essence and qualities

upon the psyche. The artistry of language changes the self

in accordance to the principles of that language,

producing of the artist an instrument for

delivering something beyond both

language and self. The Yi is a

language of this nature,

austere and pristine.

To explore the history and power of the Yi Jing,

I recommend The Beastly Book of Changes

by Marlene Cornelius. For an exploration

of the technical knowledge of the Yi

Jing, I recommend visiting the Tao

Development Foundation. To

partake of the deeper

mysteries of Yi Jing,

I recommend

practice.

YI JING STICKS

To further my engagement with the Yi Jing and share with others the depth and clarity of its guidance, I am offering the service of interpretations. I provide with this service instructions of how I inquire with the Yi Jing so you can do so yourself, as I consider it a disservice to take that step for another person. While no interpretation should ever replace your own engagement, I will provide an in-depth analysis of the answer to your question as an example of how the Yi Jing can be worked with and offer insights into its nature.

Interpretations are provided within 24 hours of inquiry in the form of a write-up. It is not necessary to share with me the question you asked of the Yi Jing, but if you do decide to share it I will also include an analysis of how the answer relates to your question specifically. Anything can be asked about, from the most mundane questions to those of the highest spiritual nature.
